RiVR at CES 2023 Day 3 (Las Vegas, USA)

On the third day of CES, the RiVR team decided to explore the rest of the show to see what other innovative technologies and products were being showcased. They were excited to see what new gadgets and advancements the show had to offer and spent the day walking around the various booths, talking to vendors, and learning about the latest trends in the tech industry. They were particularly interested in seeing the latest advancements in virtual reality, as this is an area of expertise for the RiVR team. Overall, the RiVR team had a great time at CES and were inspired by all of the cutting-edge technologies on display.

DEO VR New 3D 180 Camera

Last night, the RiVR team had the opportunity to attend the Deo VR networking event, which was an amazing experience. They were able to speak with other professionals in the virtual reality industry and learn about the latest trends and technologies. One of the highlights of the event was getting a sneak peek at the new camera that Deo VR is creating, which is set to be a major advancement in the field. The RiVR team was also able to see the latest updates to Deo VR’s software and think about how they could incorporate similar features into their own RiVR software. Overall, the networking event was a valuable opportunity for the RiVR team to connect with others in their industry and learn about the latest innovations.

Today, Ben, Tyronne and Oliver from the RiVR team continued their CES journey by visiting the exhibits at the Vanitian Hotel Expo Halls. This gave them the opportunity to see both the larger, well-known brands upstairs and the smaller startups downstairs. They were impressed by the diversity of products and technologies on display, ranging from home appliances and consumer electronics to healthcare and transportation innovations. The team also managed to visit Amazon’s showcase area to see all of their latest and greatest technology on offer. The team particularly enjoyed interacting with the startups and learning about their unique solutions and ideas for the future.

The RiVR team was glad to see several countries exhibiting in the Eureka Park at CES and bringing along startups from their region. This reminded them of their own experience in 2018, when they represented the UK and showcased the innovative technologies developed by UK startups. It was interesting to see the different cultures and approaches to innovation represented at the show, and the RiVR team enjoyed learning about the unique challenges and opportunities faced by startups from different parts of the world. Overall, the Eureka Park was a vibrant and exciting place to be, and the RiVR team was glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of it.

Overall, the Vanitian Hotel Expo Halls were a great way for the RiVR team to continue their CES experience and get a comprehensive look at the latest trends and advancements in the tech industry.

During their day at CES, Oliver and Ben had the chance to meet a company that was offering a unique technology for creating the sensation of hot or cold temperatures on human skin using a flexible Peltier pad. They were fascinated by the potential applications for this technology, which could be used to create more realistic and immersive virtual reality experiences or for use in other industries such as fire training. The team was excited to see such innovative solutions being developed and were interested to learn more about the technical details and potential applications of the technology. They were also impressed by the company’s commitment to researching and developing new solutions that could have a positive impact on a wide range of industries.

TCL Tech and Boston Dynamics

The RiVR team visited the TCL stand again, this time to see their 2D technology. They were impressed by the quality of the technology on display and were particularly interested in the newly released tablet called BookX12go, which was running Windows 11 and featured strong specs using an ARM processor. The team was excited to see such high-quality technology being offered at a great price point, and were pleased to see that TCL is committed to bringing innovative and affordable products to market. They also appreciated the opportunity to see the latest updates and advancements in TCL’s 2D technology, which has the potential to revolutionize a wide range of industries.

Tyronne had the opportunity to visit the 3D printing company Formlabs at CES and was amazed by the high quality prints being produced by their equipment. He was particularly excited when he was able to order a Ghostbusters character to be 3D printed with his own face on it. This was a unique and fun way for Tyronne to experience the capabilities of Formlabs’ 3D printing technology, and he was impressed by the level of detail and accuracy in the finished product. Overall, Tyronne found his visit to Formlabs to be a highlight of the show, and was grateful for the opportunity to see such innovative technology in action.

The RiVR team was excited to have the opportunity to see the Boston Dynamics dog in person. They were amazed by the level of sophistication and realism in the robot, which represented a major leap forward in the field of robotics. The team was fascinated by the dog’s ability to navigate complex environments and perform a wide range of tasks, and were impressed by the level of control and precision that the robot was able to exhibit.
