The RiVR Team made their way to CES 2023 Day 2, excited to see what new and innovative technology was on display. They were not disappointed, as the show floor was filled with cutting-edge gadgets and devices from companies all over the world.
The RiVR team had a productive start to their day with a demo of the new HTC Vive headset that was just released this week. Using the headset, they were able to come up with new ideas and also connect with their contacts at the company to discuss the latest developments. The team was excited to get hands-on with the new technology and see the potential for new projects and collaborations.
The new HTC Vive headset is a 2-in-1 device that combines both mixed reality and virtual reality features. This makes it a versatile and powerful tool for a variety of applications. The headset is an evolution of the HTC Vive Flow headset, with improved performance and added features such as a built-in battery on the back of the head strap. This allows users to use the headset without being tethered to a power source, giving them more freedom to move and explore virtual environments. The RiVR team was impressed with the new headset and the opportunities it presents for their work.
Alex Harvey, Co-Founder of RiVR was also thrilled to receive a goodie bag from HTC Vive that included a headset for the team to take home and use*. Alex was pleased with the company’s generosity and eager to get started exploring the virtual world with the new headset. The rest of the team was equally enthusiastic and looked forward to seeing what they could accomplish with the new technology.
The RiVR team also had the opportunity to visit Leia, a company that offers 3D tablets that do not require glasses, unlike previous tablets. During the visit, the team spoke with Joe Hill, an existing contact at Leia. It was exciting for the team to see the new tablet that has just been announced, and they were impressed by the innovative technology that allows users to experience 3D content without the need for special eyewear. The team enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about Leia’s products and explore potential collaborations with the company.
Tyronne and Oliver had the chance to catch up with Chris Madison from Engage VR at the show, which gave them the opportunity to learn more about each other’s products and explore potential collaborations. They were also pleased to see Omar from the BBC at the show, as they have worked together on various projects in the past. It was a great opportunity for the RiVR team to connect with industry contacts and discuss new developments in the field.
Tyronne and Oliver also had the chance to visit the main halls, including a stop at Canon to see their new MREAL headset. They were excited to get a closer look at this revolutionary product, which combines the realism of the physical world with the immersive qualities of virtual reality.
In addition to checking out the latest tech, Tyronne and Oliver also had the opportunity to meet Hugh from the YouTube channel Hugh Hou. It was a treat for them to meet one of their favorite content creators in person and hear about his experiences and insights in the tech industry.
It was also very interesting for the team to see the amazing display walls on the LG stand. The colors were of very good quality and vibrant, showcasing the development in technology in the visual display industry.
The RiVR team had the chance to check out the Sony Playstation VR2 headset on the Sony stand at the show. They were also impressed by the 2030 project from Nikon, which featured a futuristic robot that demonstrated the company’s vision for the future. The team enjoyed getting a sneak peek at the latest technology and innovations from these companies and was excited to see what the future holds for the industry.
Some of the team also visited the VR Engineers stand to see their latest offering. They were very impressed with the pass-through quality of the headset, which allows users to see the real world while still being immersed in virtual reality.
The team was also very impressed with the number of holographic display systems on offer this year. These systems use lasers or other technologies to project 3D images into thin air, creating the illusion of a hologram. The potential applications for this technology are numerous, from entertainment and gaming to education and healthcare.
The RiVR team was pleased to see how busy the show was this year, especially in comparison to last year when the COVID-19 pandemic was still affecting events and gatherings. It was a positive sign for the tech industry, showing that it is coming back stronger than ever. The team was excited to be a part of the show and to see so many people interested in new technologies and innovations. It was a promising start to the year and a great opportunity for the RiVR team to connect with others in the industry.
Overall, the RiVR Team had a successful and exciting Day 2 at CES 2023. They had the chance to try out the latest Vive headset and visit a number of impressive stands, including Canon, VR Engineers, and LG. They also met Hugh from the YouTube channel Hugh Hou and had the opportunity to visit the Las Vegas Loop by Tesla and the Boring Brick company. In addition, Tyronne and Oliver visited the Sony and Samsung stands and saw the Playstation VR2 headset and a range of innovative products from Samsung. The team is now looking forward to Day 3 and seeing what other amazing technology will be on display.
