Held annually, IT²EC is Europe’s primary forum for representatives from across the military, civil sector, industry and academia to connect and share knowledge about simulation, training and education. The impact of technology on these communities has been exaggerated in recent years, following the emergence of innovative startups and increasing collaboration with civil training and commercial solutions. As an event, IT²EC has reflected this, with a noticeable shift in demographic of end-user visitors, a greater proportion of SME exhibitors and the recent introduction of the DisTec (Disruptive Technology) showfloor experience.
A new dimension…

What will our Technology Partner bring to the event?
Reality in Virtual Reality Ltd (RiVR) are a world-leading developer of virtual reality assets and experiences. Using a unique simulation engine, RiVR can scan real-world locations to enable immersive training anywhere in the world. By creating hyper-realistic 360 environments, RiVR enhances the way humans learn using virtual reality. RiVR has worked on commissioned jobs for DSTL/MOD (UK) and the US DOD among others.
The partnership will give RiVR a highly visible presence on the exhibition floor, including a new Technology Lounge feature. This will allow visitors to experience virtual reality first hand across a vast array of training applications. RiVR will also become an official technology provider for exhibitors at the event. As an extension to the exhibitor care programme, participating organisations can benefit from VR and videography support to create more engaging and memorable experience for potential customers. Exhibitors will be given the option to create contextually relevant content on the show floor then have the videos edited ready to be released during the show.

Further collaboration
As part of the agreement, RiVR will also showcase their virtual reality solutions at MilSim CEE, IT²EC’s sister event held in Brno, Czech Republic and provide official photography and videography services at other Clarion Defence & Security events including Undersea Defence Technology and AOC Electronic Warfare Europe.
