RiVR takes VR Training to the forefront at The Emergency Services Show 2022

The Emergency Services show was held at Birmingham NEC on the 21st and 22nd of September 2022. This is where all of the UK emergency services come to show off the most innovative things in the world of the blue light services from training, vehicles and equipment.

RiVR, one of the world leading Virtual Reality companies had presence at ESS this year, showcasing many of their new virtual reality products that are distraction free and help train repeatedly and safely.

This year RiVR Link was being used by a number of our clients, namely Leicestershire Fire & Rescue, with their Hazard Express VR vehicle and with West Midlands Fire service on their stand. Link gives you the ability to show contextual immersive content to multiple users at the same time in VR headsets. Leicestershire’s purposely created vehicle that has numerous 360 pieces of content available to watch with the added immersion of seats that move in sync with what you are viewing, this was a really creative way to add to the viewers experiences.

West Midlands Fire service was showing the effects of a frightening chip pan fire, with the aim of giving people the knowledge to know what they should do in the event that this was to happen in their own home.

At ESS we were also showing some 6° of freedom fully photorealistic room scale fire investigation scenes known as RiVR investigate. These are real world fire burns that have been scanning and recreated digitally, allowing for full interactivity in VR and give any trainee fire investigator the opportunity to safely and repetitively investigate a scene to find the cause.

One of the newest things RiVR brought to ESS and currently is in late development phase was a brand-new product called RiVR CSI. This will be the first of it’s kind for standalone VR. Using the power of Pico XR’s Neo 3, RiVR will be launching in the near future a crime scene investigation virtual reality trainer, that will allow you to investigate with all the tools that you need and all of it in standalone 6° of freedom headsets. This will give you a untethered experience, unparalleled by anything, anywhere in the world in VR. With the help of experienced CSI investigators, we have been able to make RiVR CSI as immersive and engaging as possible and visuals that you wouldn’t believe with limited processing power.

Below you have media imagery and video links to RiVR content.
